Twenty-Eight Days to Hope in Your Home
I just wrote a review for Dana K. White’s book Decluttering at the Speed of Life. I am forever changed after reading that book. So of course I picked up her other two books (one of them brand new and you can find it HERE, you’re welcome). I’m not done reading them quite yet, but . . . I decided it’s time to do some things.
And wouldn’t you know? It’s the start of a new month, and that month happens to have 28 days. So I’m taking Dana’s advice to find hope in my home in twenty-eight days. And I’m going to stick with it this time . . . but I’m taking you with me! 🙂
Smile and nod . . .
It’s so easy to agree with a book that’s telling you such good things. I do it much too often. And I frequently stop and look back at a book I just finished and wonder if I should have slowed down and paid more attention.
Well this time I’m stopping and doing more than just agreeing. I’m doing. But what exactly am I doing?
Short version? I’m washing the dishes. Every day. For twenty-eight days.
I’ll be sharing the long version as I go. It will consist of four weekly updates, maybe some pictures (if I can even remember to do that!), and an explanation of how the week went, tricks I learned, and how long it took me to take care of my kitchen. Because that’s what this is: it’s an opportunity to learn how to handle, control, and care for my kitchen.
I’m excited, and I hope you’ll consider reading Dana’s books and trying this for yourself.
Happy Tuesday and welcome to February! 🙂
